My berfday!

Saturday, Halloween, is my eighth birthday. So mom goes to this benefit for the CSRA Humane Society, and comes home with this bandana for me. She thinks it's cute on me. I think NOT!

(but I'll humor her.)

He's Baaaaaack!

Obie's back. Evidently it didn't work with his new sister (I think he wanted a FL vacation) so anyway now he's back and no way is he going to try to take over my country.

He seems pretty quiet. I'll give him some space for awhile and see how it goes. Afterall, he can't be all bad, he likes country music :)

New Stuff

Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted. I guess I've been busy. Mom's been pretty much mindless lately, not sure what's up with that.

But here's some kinda sorta good news. ObieTrice has found himself a new home down in FL. Mom found him a home with a solo female cat and now he can be KING of the household, which was his issue here. I'm sure he's happier there, I hear he's happier and chortling away. There seems to be less tension in our own house now, I don't have him to pound on anymore so I do miss that (but there's always Oona!). Mom thinks Obie made a good move. We do miss him, tho, but we've finally stopped looking for him. He's been gone since mid April, so it's a little over a month now. Good for Obie. He can strutt his stuff all he wants now.

Okay, I'm fine, haven't been brushed lately. Mom's been busy. In this photo, I had just done a groundhog pose, which mom missed with the camera. Was funny, had to be here. So she tortured me with a few photos, I hate that flashy thingie.

Happy Valentine's Day from me and the rest of the O kitties! Mom was going to take me to SuperPetz to get my pic taken with Cupid but she changed her mind when she discovered it was raining and ugly outside today. (Oh, darn, maybe next year!) She went without me and left a contribution for CSRA Happy Tails Rescue and she loved up on a cute little black kitty, she said. Glad she didn't bring him home, we don't need any more boys around here!

Happy Holidays, am I too cute or what? Santa needs long white gloves, I think I may have scratched him. The Happy Tails rescue people were taking pics at Superpetz, so we stopped in to say hi.

Mom tortured me again this year, she said I would like the adventure but the jury's out on that one. I, however, did get to use Oona's carriage for transport so that was pretty cool. It was a fast trip and then home again!

Kibble for Kritters

This is an unhappy Oona, even the upcoming holiday season won't make her smile :(

So mom gets this idea that she and her sister aren't going to swap Christmas presents this year, they're going to donate to their favorite local animal shelters instead. So this conversation turned into "Kibble for Kritters," a donation program like Toys for Tots, but for kritters. Mom has partnered with her favorite local shelter, CSRA Happy Tails Rescue, and is collecting old blankets and sheets for bedding, dry and wet food, toys, kitty litter, all kinds of treasures for the shelter.

Donations are being collected at her Best Western hotel, and the treasures are laying all around the Christmas tree in the lobby. Even a competing pet-friendly hotel (Red Roof) has donated their old blankets and their staff members have donated food! At this point most of the stuff donated is cat stuff (cool!) but the dog stuff is starting to arrive.

Mom talked to the local newspaper and hopefully we will get a mention which may help to drive more donations. The rescue shelter has put our donation info on their website, so hopefully that will get us more exposure and drive even more donations.

Woo Hooo, gotta love that KIBBLE!!! Happy Holidays! I'm getting my picture taken with Santa this weekend!!!! I just know I'll love that adventure!!
